Boxes are small works of art. Precision and finesse come together in these little lidded pots. The grain flows beautifully from the bottom into the lid, and you’ll learn how to create a perfect fit: neither too tight nor too loose.

During this full-day workshop, I’ll teach you how to work accurately on the lathe, how to ensure the form matches neatly, how to finish your box beautifully, and how to achieve the best possible grain alignment.

Throughout the day, I’ll also tell you everything you need to know about wood and wood selection for turning boxes. I can also give you advice on tools and there are some tools available for purchase.

I work with small groups of up to 7 participants, ensuring plenty of personal attention for you and your turning project!

What’s the schedule?

• Arrival: 9:15

• Start: 9:30

• Lunch around 12:00 (bring your own; I’ll provide a nice bowl of soup)

• Finish: between 16:00 and 16:30

• In the afternoon there will be a coffee/tea break
